Wednesday 14th June - Windsurf **** The Dip at Felixstowe - sunny and hot.

Foil - 18.47 knot max, 17.34 knot ave, 11.77 knot hour, 16.45 knot mile, 48.18 km., 13.21 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Thunderbird 6.5.

After yesterday?s epic near 40 mile, I was going to have today off but it was too nice a day not to give it ago especially as long tome windsurfing mate Neil Hurrell was also heading down. Was in no hurry to get down as needed time for the tide to drop so once again did my exercises in the sunny warm garden then headed down around midday taking Mag with me for her daily walk home. Conditions looked good with flat water and hopefully enough breeze for 6.5 onus again? Neil was out on his 6.4, while Andy was winging with 5m and my sail was OK, just really needed a fraction more but had some really good runs even if you had to pump to fly, I need to practice my gybing in marginal conditions because if you touched down on the turn you struggled to get going again. There was definitely enough wind to beat over to Bawdsey Bay where I had a couple of decent runs! There was also a decent section leading to the entrance to the River Deben where Andy spent alt of time:) The wind went patchy so we came ashore for a snack before heading out again when the breeze filled in slightly, Neil got the better of this part as he had loosened the out and down haul where I had to do some hard pumping to get going with a fair bit of floundering! Still that?s two good sessions in a row in perfect hot wall to wall sunshine, cant do tomorrow so might have an early walk along the Deben for breakfast before the neighbours come around in the afternoon for a cuppa and cake:)
Neil did a short video of me messing about on the small waves, cheers:)
